I recently bought this old boat and motor (1966) and was tuning the motor when I discovered the spark plugs are apparently the wrong ones and a sparkplug wrench is to thick to go around them for removal. How do I get these plugs out??

The spark plugs are supposed to be Champion J4C (was J4J) gapped at 0.030", which take a standard 13/16" spark plug socket. What plugs have you got in there? Or are you trying to use a 5/8" socket?

CJ6 is the incorrect spark plug, and I belive it comes in a 3/4" drive in addition to 13/16". If your 13/16" socket won't fit, you'll either have to find a 3/4" sparkplug or deep socket, or use a 3/4" crecent wrench to remove the plug. <br />Good luck!
