my manual says they are the same from 71-89, but these guys on here say they arent...<br /><br />i have a 72 50hp rebuilt that runs like a top, but my lower unit is shot...slips outa gera and metal flakes in oil.... but i rebuilt the carbs, replaced head gasket, head cover, replaced exhaust covers, inside and out and new ignition.... email me
