hi to all i am newbe to boating i have just got my self a 12ft boat with a 1979 40 hp evinrude the only problem is that there is no control box or cables can any one tell me what kind of cables i need ive been looking on the e-bay but there is so many to choose from regards brad..

we need the model number of the engine first. look on the transom bracket, there should be a maufacturer plate there with the model and serial number of the engine.
