(5402) I am confused (more than normally): On the engines lid it is written Champion J4J, in Seloc's manual and at most websites it is recommended J6J - at some sites even J6C. Could somebody please get me out of my confusion. Today it has NGK BR68 which I can't find in the tables where NGK B7S/B6S should be the same as the mentioned Champions.<br /> This engine is impressing; 40 years old, used thousands of hours in all kinds of condition in Norway, with only normal maintenance, and starting and working like a new one!

Champion no longer offers the J4J it has been replaced with the J4C. The J6C is just a hotter plug. Most people will tell you that those older OMC motors run better with the Champions.
