I wondered if any of you guys could tell me the compression on a Evinrude 20 hp #BE20BFLESB all other hints are also highly appreciated, thank you, how is this motor? I´m about to buy it, just testing it first.

Hey Dane! Welcome to iboats.<br /><br />Anything over 90psi and within 10 to 15% of each other is great. What you want to look at is the 10 to 15%. Anything beyond this may indicate trouble or maybe just needing a decarb. Have you taken compression readings yet?<br /><br />Keep on posting!

Hi The Dane.<br /><br />I had 3 of theese motors and worked on a bunch. They all tested out around 125 psi, when in good shape. Fine motors, some of the best OMC ever build in my opinion, and very economical too. ES makes it a 1990. Good to see others from Denmark.

No I have no compression readings yet, but got the motor running today and it sounds okay, anyway I will take some compression readings later this week. Thank you for your kind replys, nice to meet people willing to help.
