what year is my 6 hp Johnson Seahorse?

I have a johnson sea horse 6 hp Model# CD-23E<br /> Serial# J2668714 any help you could give me in finding out the year would be appreciated. Thanks- Jeff p.s. Where do you find out the years on these old outboards?
