Been trying different plug gaps and octane with my 92 Johnson 115. Results are, motor loses about 150 rpms with plugs gapped at .035, more at 0.40. Tried .030, got my rpms back and runs strong.Tested spark, jumps a 1/2 gap with a good strong spark. Tried 87 and 89 octane fuel, starts and runs better on 93 octane. Moral to the story, I guess all motors aren't created equal. Experiment a little bit to see what works best for you.
