this is odd - I wanted to put a new propeller on and get old (original) one repaired. Went to remove the propeller last night and can't get it off! I broke a shear pin earlier this spring on it and I remember just pulling the cotter pin from the plastic cup on the outside (which I noticed is cracked now and needs replaced)and everything was plain in sight. Now - I pulled that pin, pulled the cup off and the prop will not budge. Am I completely missing something here? Granted it was getting dark but I feel like I'm losing it! ALSO -where will I find a new black plastic cup thing that fits on hte outside? Any help would be great! Thanks - JIM

Use a standard auto type gear/wheel puller (type with the jaws) to pull the prop. And hit the junk piles at any of the marine repair shops for the tail cone.

adam246; and when you put the new/rebuilt prop on don't forget to grease that shaft!! any grease is better then NO grease at all..
