Re: Waterlogged

Welcome aboard Harvey.

Right now, if you havn't done anything, time is your worst enemy. If possible, turn the engine upside down and let it drainout. Pull the plugs and hose down the cylinders with oil to get the walls coated. Blow dry the engine with air especially under the flywheel. Get the engine running as soon as possible. I would suggest a separate fuel tank with double oil. Disconnect the VRO tank temporairily until the Oil Reservoir can be checked and cleaned out. Make sure the oil nipple at the engine is capped off good while running on the separate fuel tank. Thing is....don't waste time doing this. Oxidation can start overnight.

One more thing.....pull the bowl plugs on the carbs and let them drain out before priming with fresh fuel.

Keep us posted and Good Luck!

Re: Waterlogged

Thanks OBJ for the reply. Unfortunatly I read it after I got back home! Not long after I posted this morning ,my friends called and almost had it out. (Of the lake) It was sittin on the bottom! They used straps and come-alongs to winch it from the depths. Then when I got there I got to bucket it out! It wasn't sitting in that slip for a full 24 hrs yet! But anyway we did mostly what you said except for turn it upside down. We blow most of the water out with air and emptied the fuel tanks. Let her dry for a few hours and she started on the first try. You could've knocked me over with a feather! Amazing . The only thing that does not yet work is the trim. We hear it clicking but it aint moving! Anyway thanks. Sam

Re: Waterlogged

Sam....water may have seeped into the TNT motor or the relays may be wet. Look on the back of the engine where the TNT box is located and find the connector with the large blue and green wires. These go directly to the TNT motor. Jump the plus and minus from the battery to the blue and green wires. To go up, put the + side of the battery to the blue wire and the - to the green wire. If the motor don't run, may be a little water logged.
