1977 Johnson 115 Not Firing

I have a 1977 Johnson 115 that's not getting spark to any plugs. It's been sitting for 3 yrs but I was told it ran fine when it was parked. Can any one tell me what to check first or where to start? Model# 115ETL77S Serial# J4775729<br /> Thanks LundyT

I just recently had the same problem on my 150, turned out to be the power pack however by going through the manual looking for the problem i found that the regulator/rectifier and the stator was also shot.I didnt want to install the pack without first checking all electrical systems.I didnt want to fry the new pack.

That's what I thought, but since I am an auto mechanic, not a boat mechanic I figured I'd better ask somebody with experience.<br /> Thanks
