When I attempt to start the engine the shaft on the starter moves up and hits the cover over the starter. The cover on the starter now has a crack in it, the starter is hitting the cover and not engaging properly. If you hold the cover down the engine starts and runs great. Is there a ring clip or something that is supposed to keep the starter from hitting that cover?
