Are the floats supposed to be level with the carb body when inverted? My manual shows a gauge being used to set the floats. Is there a measurement for this?

Hey ReelDrag....almost level. Just a very slight incline from the float. Just slight. It'll look level until you look at it hard.

Do you happen to know what the measurement is. My manual shows a measurement for the drop only. I want to make sure these things are right.

No measurement. Just "eyeball" the float in relation to the carb bowl gasket surface.

********************
(Carburetor Float Setting)
(J. Reeves)

With the carburetor body held upside down, the float being viewed from the side, adjust the float so that the free end of the float (the end opposite the hinge pin) is ever so slightly higher (just ever so slightly off level) than the other end. And when viewed from the end, make sure it is not cocked.

********************
