Hi Can anyone help?? I have replaced fuel pump, hoses, connections, tank with no progress. Sometimes the boat will take off properly then when I throttle up again the engine lacks power. The more throttle the slower I go. Boat wont plane off. There are time when it will kick in and take off. So I guess the problem is intrermitant, mostly there though. It seems like the engine is starving for fuel. Anyone have any trouble shotting tips? Are the jets adjustable? Are there floats that can be stuck? Thanks All help appreciated. Andy NY

Hey! Welcome to the board.

Sounds like it is definitely time to clean out the carbs and install new carb kits (kit consists of new float, needle valve, gaskets, etc.). Pay special attention to cleaning the high speed jet.

If you haven't already done so, buy a manual for your engine. The $30 or so for the manual will save you an incredible amount of time and money. With the manual in hand, cleaning and installing the carb kits is relatively simple.

Good luck!

Brew
