Hey guys my bubby just got an old johnson, but he doesn't know the year.<br />model#jw-18r<br />serial#c392395 I think?<br />Any help would be appericiated. Thanks guys

Paul is correct. Not all books agree on the plugs.<br /><br />For extended low speed operation, use the J6C. If plugs foul, open gap to .035 or even .040<br /><br />For all-round operation, use the J4C. Same suggestion on the gap.

Yeah, I'm showing J6C also. I would try the cooler plug first as recommended and if it doesn't work out, go to the hotter plug as suggested... I would for sure gap them at .040.
