Motor won't start

I have a 75 hp. Johnson outboard 1977 model. Yesterday I was getting it ready to kick off the new fishing season and it fired right up. After a few minutes of letting it idle, I turned it off. When I tried to start it again, nothing. Started tinkering with it and found that I have no spark at the plugs. What to do?

Bray22: I have had those power pak's die while running on a hose! I think they can die in there sleep also.

Have you pulled the flywheel yet? Once I had mud dabbers get in there, when i fired the motor up a cloud of dirt and it tore the wiring up on the coils. How they got in there i don't know but now when I store a motor i put a trash bag over the powerhead and tape it. Wierd but true. :D
