Fouling Plugs

I have a 1970 Johnson 9.5hp that is fouling the plug in the bottom cylinder. Do I change points and condensors or coils or both?<br /> Thanks Guys!<br />Runs fine at in nuetral not good in Forward unless I take out the plug and dry it off

Before you start changin stuff lets find out what needs changin. First what plugs are you using? Next you need to check your ignition by seeing if you have a healthy bright blue snapping spark that will jump at least a 1/2" gap. Next have you adjusted the idle mixture? Checked points?<br /><br />Post back & we can go from there.

how about oil mixture. has it been smoking quite a bit.
