Hello. This is a great site! I have an old Johnson Seahorse 9.5. It seems to be in good shape and we got it running well last fall. I'm trying to figure out what year it is. The model number is MO-11G (possibly MQ-11G) and the serial number is C443484.

I'd like to find a new Gearcase head for it, or at a minimum, a new shaft seal and the right size "O"-ring. The seal seems to have the numbers 303 345 C/R. It;s made of brass and rubber.

Any help in dating and sourcing these parts would be SOOOO appreciated. Thanks

Pat.

You are looking at a 1965.To get these gearcases new or second hand often costs an arm and a leg.
E-bay on the other hand, has them for a song. The seals and washers you can get through napa.
Mostly ,you want to get a manual. They are available on the left hand corner of this page.

Seal kit is PN 18-2682 at NAPA. Goes for around $20. It includes all the lower unit seals. Even comes with new fill/vent screw washers...
