Re: Bay Manufacturing

Two years ago,a customer brought his motor and their kit to me.Several hours later,I could not get it back togeather.(he brought it in to me unassembled).
I worked with them and they worked with me.The kit had quality parts (all alloy or stainless).
Problem was they did not make a kit for this engine, and the customer ordered the wrong one.
I would feel that if the correct kit was available and ordered, there would be no problems.
DHP

Re: Bay Manufacturing

Sorry for the hijack... I have a Bay Mfg #406 kit on my '77 Merc 500. I realized that my reverse lockout rod is missing when I replaced the lower unit. I have a copy of the #406 parts breakout and it does not even show a reverse lock rod. Do you know anything about that? Does it get removed? Do you have to modify the extension piece if you use this on a non T/T motor?

Yes. Just bought the Evinrude 225 hp kit for my motor. It works pretty good. Their customer support is decent. Whats your question?
