starting problems 1997 johnson 200 venom

i recently bought a 1997 200 johnson venom. i had the compression checked before i bought it and they were 90-92. on the maiden voyage it would not srart, i jumped it with the trolling batteries. i thought that i did not have enough cca's on the starting battery (only 525) so i bought an 800 cca battery, but am still having the same problem. can someone please help me, i have a real need to fish. thanks

My 2 cents worth.. I'd bet it's time for new battery cables... ;)

i took the boat to my local guru and found that the starter was bad. it was not spinning the engine fast enough to start. thanks for the help.
