Guys I have a 1975 --85h/p evenrude. I have just finished tuning this thing up and she runs great.
now my question. I am running L77JC4 plugs in her gaped at 30. I want to be able to troll with it at slow speed so do I need to gap these a little further? Say to about 35 or 40 would this help.

Hi Bubba
I run my 70 HP rude plugs at .040 and I do troll alot. It helps out alot with smoothing out the idle and loading up. Matter of fact, it never really loads up. But it does run much better at low speed with the larger gap...

Thanks guys that is what I thought but wanted to get a conformation before I did this. Gonfishn and my self are doing some gator hunting this weekend and we need to troll a lot. Thanks for the fast response. :) :)
