first time boat owner, I have a 14' Alwield flatbottom with a 1975 15 hp Evinrude motor 9 1/2 x 10 prop.
Curious about proper setting for the Tilt and depth of the prop. I will be the only occupant in the boat, so with all tackle involved the total weight would be around 200 lbs. Any suggestions?

Howdy, Lizard.

Welcome to iboats. :)

Set engine height so that the Anti-ventilation plate (usually incorrectly called a cavitation plate) is even with the bottom of the boat.

Set the tilt pin so that the AV plate is parallel with the bottom.

Good luck. :)

use a straight edge. that sounds like a pretty cool little setup you got. so measure twice cut once right?
