Well, Hi, I have a Johnson outboard, 90hp. I think these next numbers are close to right. Year=1989 Model=J90TLCCA Serial=R7808967.
Now the problem. It starts, idles and cruises great. But, when you need more speed it kinda stutters and vibrates (sorry, can't find a better description) then catches up and runs fine.
Things that have been done???? Cleaned carbs, changed plugs and ran somthing through it to help clean.
Any ideas on the cause and a solution? Thanks so very much. Sherrie

ck your primer bulb and all lines for leaks and fuel pump for clogging or diaphragm bad in fuel pump.

Ya might also try giving the primer switch (push the ignition switch in, kinda like choking) a quick bump and see if that helps.
Incidently, that model nr. sez it's a 1988.

c/6
Hooty
