I will be storing my boat in the water but will want to flush the engine with fresh water. Is it ok to trim the engine all the way out of the water and hook up the hose to it to flush it EVEN THOUGH the engine will be practically horizontal? I guess my biggest concerns is good water circulation although the engine is tilted to this degree...???

Re: starting trimmed up

Welcome to the forum. Interesting question. I don't know if the engine will even run at full tilt due to gas level in the carb bowls. Never tried it. A problem will be that all the water won't drain out and if it freezes where you live, the water could freeze, expand and crack something. You can see from where I live that I don't know jack about storing boats in cold weather, but maybe some of the other guys can help you on this.
