Hi,<br />when I go out for a trip my enginge feels a bit weak. It takes some time before it gives everything it has. I often have to make several attempts to get it to level. Once properly warm everything works just fine. <br /><br />I'm quite new to boats, so I'd appreciate som tips.

It could sound like it doesnt get the gas it needs. When was the last time carbs was cleaned carefully. First sign of its starting to run lean will be during warm-up period.

asok,<br /><br />There are several things you need to check.<br /><br />1. Compression. It should be over 100 psi. and within 5-10 psi of each other on all four cylinders.<br /><br />2. Is your fuel tank venting properly?<br /><br />3. What do the spark plugs look like? Do they all look the same?<br /><br />4. Do the heads, while running all feel the same temperature?
