I have a 1992 Crestliner with a 1991 Evinrude 150HP. The trim & tilt works fine at the motor, but only works "down" (not up) at the throttle button. I think I need a new switch in the throttle handle.<br /><br />Is disassembling the throttle handle a big deal? I can't see how to take it apart. All the controls, wires, etc. behind the panel are too intimidating for me to take anything apart back there.<br />Is there a trick to taking the throttle apart simply without damaging it so I don't have to take the boat to the dealer?<br />Any help is appreciated.
