can a 1970 v-4 hydroelectric lower unit be installed on a same era 3 cylinder motor and if not are some of the parts interchangeable? thanks

without knowing what exact year and horspower.. it woul be virtually impossible to tell.....but im gonna look it up in my manuals anyway... ill let ya know...ps did you see it on ebay, in the ebay motors/outboard engine and parts section....<br />#2460154947

They're different units. Driveshafts are different, castings are different...<br />- Scott

Scott's right - the V4 & I3 LUs don't interchange, though they look identical on 1st glance.

if the problem is simply that ddaigles shift selonods went crap-o-lah on him, can he use the selonoids from my 4 cyl gear case??????
