Real easy answer Smitty....no lubricants. The 2 stoke engine (carburated) depends on the gas mix to carry in oil to lube the bearings and cylinder walls. Damage can occur real quick when using starting fluid and the like.

Not only doesn't it contain lubricant, it washes away what residue was left there almost immediately.

I've heard that SOME ether contains lubricant( Like This ), but I would still use pre-mix spray to fire it up. Safer, too. Ever had a backfire when trying to start with ether. Looks like a blow torch. :eek: <br /><br />A little info:<br /><br /> web page
