Two things that can make the fuel oil ratio increase are air bubbles in the fuel line or a restriction in the fuel system. Either way, less fuel reaches the "VRO" where it receives a full 'shot' of oil, making a richer mixture.<br /><br />Engine tune and carbon buildup can affect combustion. Make sure the thermostats are warming up each cylinder head to about 140 degrees, Use only Champion QL78YC plugs gapped at .030". Carb adjustments on that motor make a difference in drivability. Run a can or two of Engine Tuner thru the motor per the directions on the can.
