Hello All,<br />I'm looking at purchasing a boat with this motor on it. I'm new to this game so I'm wondering about their reliability and performance. Also, why a 48hp? Also, is there and electric tilt and trim option available for these.It presently has a manual hydraulic tilt on it. Any other info that any of you feel is relevant would help too. Thanks

deboat,<br /><br />That is a fine engine. It has been around in similar forms since the fifties.<br /><br />Yes, you can buy the trim/tilt unit. It will be expensive though.<br /><br />There are aftermarket units for about $500.00.<br /><br />Sometimes you will get lucky and find one (original type) on ebay.

Thanks for the info. I think the auto tilt can wait a little while though.
