I'm not sure if it's safe on aluminum but CLR works great on oxidation.

Default Cleaning aluminum boats

My 16ft Aroliner has been sitting outside for most of it's 35 years, and now it's horribly oxidized. I'd like to get it back to it's original shining beauty, showing off it's spun aluminum finish. Any ideas?

I know this sounds stupid but, corn starch solution with water (make a paste) and a buffing wheel. No chemical smells and it's enviro. safe. It might make you hungry.

Take a look at the attached web site. Good site for folks like us who own aluminum boats. http://pagebiz.com/bds/aluminum/repair.html
