Got the flywheel nut off and pulled off the rope sheeve. Where do you grab it with the wheel puller to pull the flywheel off? There are three small holes in the flywheel with rivets in them, is this correct? Are these realy 1/4 -20 "pull holes" or do the rivets hold something on the inside?

I don't know the model you have, but for sure, don't use anything that pulls on the outer edge of the flywheel. Others who know that motor will be along to advise you on the correct procedure for removal.

The original manual tells you how to remove the flywheel of your 1939 engine here on page 5. Personally, I would do what they describe with the utmost of care!

Good luck!

Thank you Paul Moir. The manual is an incredible resource. Those were the days, one font covers all, hand typed! I'm not one for looks, decals, fine paint and such, but I do like my engines to run. They are just too big to be paper weights.
Thanks
