It appears from these message boards that you can identify the year and size of an outboard from the model/serial. Please can you help me, I have an Evinrude twin ski (thats what is says on the cover). The numbers on the small silver circle on the engine read 40152B, J01555. I was told this was a 1969 40HP when I bought it. Is this true? Thanks in advance.
