I am new to the boating world, so bare with me. when advancing the throttle to full open the rpm goes high side but the boat slows. When it first happened I though i threw the prop but I didnt. Once I retard the throttle it catches up again and the boat starts moving. cant ever go past half way though. Its an older 60's model 40 hp engine. Any help would be great.
