ive had the carbs rebuilt, fuel pump changed, lines cleaned. comp. is 114 to 120 in all 3 cylinders. all plugs spark when grounded. runs great hooked up to hose but when i put it in the water and put it under a load it stalls when i give it the gas. if i rev it up and put it in gear it will start to go hesitantly but seems to "catch" at higher rpms and runs great. if i slow it down to idle it will die sometimes. always stumbles then seems to catch in higher rpms.

Tell ya what Bill, the next time you start throttling up and the engine stumbles, give the primer/choke button a quick bump and see what happens. If the engine picks up just for a second, you've got a carburetor problem. If it doesn't, get back to us on this same post. That way, we'll know what's been tried.

c/6
Hooty

i tried giving the choke a hit while running with no results but i just noticed that at some time the oil injection hose had been disconnected and the tank removed. that hose was never plugged. could it be sucking air and causing my problem? thanks
