I have a (had) a perfectly running 35... i was flushing it with muffs, they slipped off the lower unit amd it overheated. I started it back up and it ran fine with only a slight drop off in **** tube pressure. Took the boat out several times since w/no problems. took it out this a.m. and it overheated badly. pulled the foot and there was very little left of my impeller fins. how bad did i screw it up, will i need to pull head, water jacket etc to clean them out? i have browsed this forum on several occasions and can almost always get my questions answered. thx for any insight, bdk

You can take a garden hose in hand, and hold it to the thermostat housing, to backflush the powerhead. Next, force water up the water tube inlet to the powerhead. And finally, remove the pee-indicator hose and flush.
