My father has a evinrude '99 50hp 4 stroke.We are trying to get him a skeggard because he broke the tip off his skeg this summer. They don't make one for the 4 stroke, I even talked to the company that makes them. Does anyone know if the skegs are the same size on the 2 and 4 stroke? any help would be appreciated. selene
Speak to the people that repair propellers. They will be able to Heli Arc (aluminum weld) a new skeg on the lower unit, making it look like new. All that will remain is for you to prime and paint it.
