I have a Evinrude Sportwin 9.5hp and would like help on to determine mfg year<br /><br />Model :9922S S/N : C 55110<br /><br />Thanks

model#9922s ,serial # E01152, can someone tell me what year it is please?

To farleydog: 9922 is still a 1969 model number. The letter extension is for a factory run within the year or for a modification within the year. The serial number is for your specific motor.

OK stupid question here. Newly acquired Evinrude 9.5. Sportwin. where would I find the serial and model # tag or stamp. The motor was partially repainted for some unknown reason to match the previous owners boat colors and I can't find the answer to this in the forums. Thanks and glad I could make a few of you laugh or chuckle :)

this thread was started almost ten years ago!! look for a nickel sized aluminum plug of the engine block, numbers should be there. ( for future reference, dont reopen ancient threads, start yourself a new one....just bad forum etiquette )
