All maintenance complete thanks to this forum. Two more questions. When I shut off the motor my Air Silencer hose will dump about a little more than a thimble of fuel into the cover. Didn’t know where it was coming from until I removed the hose from cover (OK I forgot to connect it ) Also what should my idle RPM’s be ? Thanks to all

Should fuel come out of this hose ? Also with muffs I idle at about 1100.

For recommended idle speed, what year, make , and horsepower engine are we talking about? It is normal for some two cycle mix to accumulate in the intake silencer. It is for this reason that the scavenging hose is incorporated between it and the crankcase.

1100 is probably fairly close on the hose.Best to set at 850 - 900 in gear in water for final idle speed setting. Two and three cylinder loopers don't like to chug around in gear much below 850 for any lenghth of time.

Is the fuel comming from the crankcase to the cover or cover to case ?
