i own a 1969 glassmaster tri hull with a 1968 evinrude 85 hp outboard. the floor is rotting in the boat. my question concerns the motor. are people looking for a motor this old, for parts maybe? a marine mechanic inspected it last year and says it needs points and i believe a wiring harness located under flywheel. he said lower unit was in good shape. motor idles well. boat has electric shift and it works as well. boat could be restored, but is too much of a project for me.it ran good until last summer when points went out. appreciate any advice. thanks.
