good day all:im thinking of purchasing a evinrude outboard engine model #cd-12 can anyone tell me what size of engine it is and if it is a good reliable engine also what is the feul ratio and correct spark plug for this engine. any info is greatly appreciated. Z

Howdy, Z.<br /><br />A CD-12 is a 1955 Johnson 5.5hp.<br /><br />Set points at .020, J4C Champion Spark Plugs gapped at .030.<br /><br />Fuel mix is 24:1 (1 Quart TC-W3 outboard oil to 6 gallons 87 octane unleaded regular gas).<br /><br />Good engine, good luck. :)
