79 Evinrude 85HP Trim problems

I have a problem and I have asked several people and no one can figure it out. I have a 79 Evinrude 85HP and the trim is not working right. It will go all the way up and all the way down but if I go above around 10 miles an hour the trim drops. If I am already going above ten miles an hour the trim will not raise at all. If I slow down or stop completely again it will raise all the way up and lower all the way down. Any suggestions on where to start looking.

you mite not have a problem at all<br />- book says<br />the trim cylinders move the motor the<br /> 1st 15 degrees.<br />the tilt cylinder moves it the other 50 degrees.<br />it can be operated tilted past the 15 dgr for shallow water, but at 1500^ rpm the trim relief valve will lower the motor to the full trimmed position.<br />any attempts to tilt motor over 1500 rpm will have no effect.<br />you will only be able to use the trim @<br />15 degrees of movement<br />-<br />it scared me the 1st time it did it to me, i thought i hit something.<br />hope that helps
