The water line coming out of the thermostat cover broke on my 1995 Johnson 200. The engine
bogged down and I found water up to the engine cover gasket. The motor was tilted full up to drain the water, a fix was made to the broken fitting, the carb bowls were drained, and the motor seemed to run fine. I rinsed the motor with fresh water (I have that OMC motor coating on the engine) except for the top area, removed the plugs (didn't see any water drops), and then replaced the plugs.

Any help on what else I could do, or what I may need to check would be appreciated. (I do hope to do a compression check in the near future.)

Thanks,

Bruce Allen
