Re: no power on full throttle

sounds like the carb(s) need cleaning or rebuilding -- high speed jet not providing sufficient fuel.

I had the exact same problems with my 70h.p.I went through all the usual stuff to check and replace and it ended up being WATER in my gas. Imagine that....

Steve - Don't wait for a mechanic - - do it yourself. If you can handle a couple of open ended wrenches and a screw driver - - you're in.

Re: no power on full throttle

Well thanks all for responses:
Not to well mechanical inclined
Took to mechanic and the carbs had to be rebuilt. The tip on the needle in the carb didnt exist anymore. I had a bit of an air leak in my gas tank hose. Repaired. Also I guess a spark plug was bad in the bottom cyclinder. I found that hard to believe as I just replaced both plugs 3 week ago but the mechanic stated that the plug was defected. If he would have kept it for me I would have returned it. The motor works great now. $219.00 later. Oh well, the enjoyment is worth it. Thanks again all.
