Re: Need Hp And Year for old johnson 3 hp
Johnson Model: JW-21
Year: 1966
HP: 3
WOT RPMS: 4000
Displacement: 5.28 cu.in. = 86.5 ccm
Cylinders: 2
Weight: 37 - 37.5 lbs. = 16.8 - 17 Kg
Propellers: 8 x 5 1/2 or 6 1/8 x 6 1/4 , 2 blade
Gear ratio: 12:25 , 17:28
Picture.

From the
Olde OMC Site.

Carb kit is Sierra #18-7020. It does not contain a float. You'll have to get that from a Johnson/Evinrude dealer.
Two caveats: Inspect your ignition coils for cracks (18-5181 for 1 coil), and the filter in the gas tank tends to clog easily with varnish. It's above the brass nut on the tank where the shutoff connects.
Good luck!
