You have an arc jumping from the spark plug boot to the side of the spark plug insulator, running down the sides. Has anyone seen such a thing? Insulator is not cracked(that I can see).

As ACC said, replace the plugs, and check it again on a dark night. Do not run this motor until you can, also.

This is because the arcing (or more acurately, lack of an ability for the potential to find ground thru the plug), willl eventually wipe-out the CD pack or coils.
If the plug fouls, or the plug wire's insulation breaks-down, the arc of electricty will;

1.Develope a route to ground thu the insulation material, breaking it down into a carbon path to ground. This will ruin the plug wire ,or whatever device is arcing to ground (CD pack or coil subrates ect).

2. require higher voltage potential to complete the path to ground, which can short-out the CD transistor or coil windings.

So it's a good thing you found it ,hopefully in time to fix itwith a plug (as opposed to plug wires and cd packs).

Re: What does it mean when

Could this happen due to low voltage at the stator charge coil?
