The model number is JW-10, the serial number is 1183521. Also, what is the fuel mix ratio? And just one more, it runs very well, but where does the water "pee" out??

Thanks in advance.

Bobby Hoth

Re: Seahorse outboard year????

Water comes out as a mist from the 6 small holes in the front of the leg, just below the transom bracket, I belive. There is no tell tale as such, these are simply the idle exhaust relife, and it carries some of the cooling water. There may be a flush screw at the base of the tiller arm you can check from. The flush is on the cold side of the cooling circuit, so don't run it without the screw for more than a couple seconds.
If it's too hot to hold your hand on for five seconds on the top of the head, it's probably overheating.
Mixture is 24:1.

Thanks for the info, yup, its overheating. I can't even begin to get my hand close to the heads. Are these motors worth anything? I paid $30 for it at a garage sale. Didn't know what it was, but it ran and was old. LOL
