I am sitting here looking for help. I have a Evinrude 9222M that I need a Hood for and a repair manual. Likewise I have a Johnson 6hp 6R70B that I need a repair manual. Can anyone help me here. It would be greatly appreceated.<br /><br />I purchased 14' aluminum fishing boat w/ the 6hp johnson, 9.5 evinrude, 50lb trolling motor, trailor and electronics for $900.00. The 6hp doesn't run very good. It will run for a while (30) seconds and then kill out. I checked the spark plugs, fuel lines. It seems to be having problems pumping fuel. I am not sure what the fuel mixture is. I think that the motor is a '77. I am just learning the small motor stuff as this is my first "small" boat.

The 9222 is a 72 9.5 6R70 is a 70.<br /> You should be able to find a manual at the bottom of this page maybe one to cover both.<br />If not try NAPA auto parts or amazon.com.<br />Sometimes you can find them at the library.<br /> When motor quits check spark.If good then go through the fuel system from tank to carb.with special attention to cleaning carb and pump <br />repair as neccessary. dont forget the tank vent and pick up tube.Fuel mix on both is 50:1.<br /> That sounds like a nice fishing rig.

Thank you for your help. It is an ok rig. The motors need some work and it doesn't look that great but I can imagine it has had many fish in it. Does anyone have any Idea about the Hood for the Evinrude?
