84 Evinrude 6hp lower unit removal

Need to replace the water pump on my yachtwin model number e6slcrm serial number serial number EO 324411<br /><br />Removed the 3 bolts and I can swing the unit but not drop it...any thoughts?<br /><br />Kevin

I used a 2X4 as a hammer and freed it up. I hope that is all I needed to do...

Be sure that when you re-assemble things , you grease the drive shaft splines (splines only-not the top of the drive shaft) , this can ease dis-assembly the next time. Put a small amount of grease on the end of the copper water tube too.
