This engine has had powerpack replaced would run about 5 minutes an die,It had car coil on it we changed that,went through carbs,checked all wiring,and it started once good then after minute or so started missfiring bad. It dosent look like it has fuel pump but seems like fuel problem,spark looks real good.There is 2 sensors on it that have been disconnected,wich one goes to the little start switch on the throttle setup. I am unsure if i should hook those back up or what they do.

Hi, SEG.<br /><br />Give us the model number off of the MFG. plate. It would probably be nice to tell us the maker, too. I am guessing Johnson, but you need to tell us.<br /><br />You are almost certain to need a manual, but wait until we know what you have.<br /><br />Let us know. :)

model number is 100ESL72R and also was wondering on that why it says low speed and high speed adjustments but there just screws in there (like presets) i spose. sorry for missed up info im handicaped.

Sounds like your motor is a 1972 model(from the serial #), if I'm correct 72 models had fixed jets. My 71 125 has adjustable needle valves, but they were switched to fixed in 1972. So your 100 is more than likely fixed jets. Also make sure your coils are for this motor, and check for cracks in them, my 71 was doing similar things and several people said it's probably the coils. Apparantly these coils crack and fail under heat (when the motor gets to running temp)
