Hello,<br /><br />'78 6hp Evinrude Mod 6804B, Ser J0006342<br /><br />I have similar problems to dbs84's 15 Evinrude. At high speed, bulb goes soft and runs out of fuel. Have to keep squeezing. Won't idle down, it quits and has quite a miss. As it runs out of fuel, I noticed that you can see bubbles or air appearing in the fuel line right at the carb fitting.<br /><br />I rebuilt fuel pump twice, replaced all hoses, bulb and clamps to no avail.<br /><br />Suggestions? Carb rebuild time? <br /><br />Thanks!
